Howdy, I polished some o the Ally on my R tonight, lots of black residue so I guess it's a sign of much future polishing.I thought i'd post it as some of the less polishy people might 've thought it was lacquered , even tho it's mainly brushed ally it'll still dim. I think the wheels are coated.

    Hi Wag
Ya wheels are lacquered. Ive done all my cases, come up good. Got caught out on the small guard plate with holes in as this is painted then lacquered. Ended up wet flatting back and then polishing.looks good now, glad it was not a big area. Also did guards in front of injection/carbs, they look good.
Ah ya are you going to open day at Plymouth Triumph this Saturday ?

I've been using this for years, it's, errr briliant on satin aluminium finish, gets rid of all the tarnish on exhausts and casings.

The wheels and the metal on the tank strap come up a treat.

Worth looking at some of their other products too, just a suggestion !!

I didn't know about it, sir . How is it different from being 'open'?
I'm swapping my W800 for a gtr14000 tomorrow-at 'Speed' in Exeter, so may potter down. I'm taking it to Spain on16th if it works proper .I thought of taking Thrux but I don't fancy 7 hours non stop on it , hence the swap of the mini -thrux .

Ah nothing serious I hope?, well it was a good first birthday for the dealership, had free food, thats always good. I asked Nikki if you were there to point you out, but in the end it was easy cos mine was the only thruxton there. But yes a good day. Shame we could not have had it a bit warmer and drop the wintery showers, but thats our wonderful weather for you.

We took the gtr in , its (allegedly) having a new slave cyl. I had to spend the rest trying to re-org the garage cos bevs daughter wants to use the (buried) running machine- and ive just bought a fat bike.
...and then we went to torquay to see sean locke again, more glee.
