Got home, and your now on my List of Friends accessed by the panel on the LH side of the page. Guess it takes time to update.
That would be great Tim cheers i've not decided where I'm going next year yet, but i will be going to the Picos sometime
I've edited all my routes as i think i had the start and finish to close to each other..myroute-app says that can cause problems with Garmins..i've also finished my routes at my local petrol station rather than my house
Is this a Mac app ? As I can't seem to find it I can only see a my route by blueatomium.com a trial version on my Windows 10 PC
Now the hard work begins, as myself and computers don't get on too well. I have only ever used a sat Nav to get from A to B
Only just found that my Garmin takes a microSD card !! My queen is always telling me to read the instructions
Click on Route lab on the top banner, 2nd one in, + Start new route - banner above the map, 4th from left Zoom into your start location, left click to plot your route on the map and that's it !!!! It will automatically save this to your login. To send it to the Garmin - click on save as> (just above map right hand side) and select gpx 1.1 I created a folder in downloads for all gpx routes, then just connect your Garmin to your PC and copy and paste them across to the GPX folder on your garmin internal memory. When you disconnect it, switch on Garmin and you will be asked if you wish to import route. Easy as. To find your routes- Profile on top banner, then you will see Routes, on the banner above your name, click on this and you will see your saved routes.
i've had a look at my routes and i've added extra way points at junctions /roundabouts as i've been told it's better to have plenty of way points,i don't know if it's necessary to do this but it won't do any harm..If you are going to do this to a route you have already made up put the curser over where you want to add a way point, make sure there is a red circle where your curser is then move it slightly and click to add ..if you don't do this and just click on as normal it won't work properly for example if your end of the route is say way point number 20 it will make the new waypoint number 21 so will want to take you there once youv'e reach the end of the route,,but if you use the red circle to add a waypoint say between 10 and 11 it will make the new waypoint number 11 and change old number 11 to 12 ! hope that makes sense ..in future when i make up a route i will make sure i put a waypoint at any junctions and at roundabouts just to make make sure, i would hate for somebody to use one of my routes and find out it took them the wrong way,,i know it shoudn't happen but worth spending a bit more time just incase
