    Hi All

This is my first post on here though I have owned my bike for just over a year now.

My bike has the Triumph fly screen fitted and the bug eye headlights will not aim properly without fouling the bottom of the flyscreen. I have fitted some 6mm spacers which has improved it a bit, but not enough. Seems very odd considering it's all standard stuff.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers

    Glen.

It doesn't work, hence the post mate. Lights are still too low.

Hi Glen have you had a look at the mounting brackets for the headlights and the screen, to see if there is any way you can separate a bit?

That's what I have done by adding spacers under the screen. It was a really fiddly job and didn't improve matters enough.

I was wondering if there was something I am missing regarding the headlight mounting arrangement that might give me more scope for adjustment - they seem to be too high up the yoke.

I was hoping someone would say "I had that problem and fixed it like this.........."

I can't help but think that there will be a solution in terms of altering the orientation of that bracket - I mean will it fit if you turn the bracket through 180° (turn it upside down) ?

I believe some owners fit a different bracket to pull everything back, has there been a mix of brackets. theres a thread on here about tiding up the front of a triple.

it does look wrong the lights should sit in the groove (baby). looks ok in your profile photo?

Thanks guys, the bracket is hollow underneath to take the wiring, it would look awful upside down. I agree with jtd in that it seems too long, perhaps there was a shorter one for use with the fly screen. The profile photo is the same as it is now without the spacers, so must be an optical illusion.

I used the bike on Friday night in the dark (because my CBX broke down! Jap crap) and though lower than ideal, it's not too bad so I think I can live with it. I rarely use it at night anyway.

The bracket looks standard ... however ....im guessing its the same bike in your profile picture ... the angle of the fairing is completely wrong ... it looks like the front has been dropped so that the screen kicks wind over the rider .. it should be flatter.. maybe the problem is with your clocks mounts as he screen blt straight to the back of the dials
