Might be a shite idea for a thread but fuck it. Mods feel free to come through the interweb fibres and incapacitate my laptop and slap me about a bit. A cyber doing if you like. I watched Young Guns 2 the last night and thought it was rather entertaining. Ancient film but good. Before that the 3 original Bourne films. All ace. (not all the same night) Anyone any recommendations old or new?
Australian film called Red Dog. Watched it first on Friday evening whilst the wife was out, then again with her last night as I thought it was that good. Based on a true story with typical Aus humour and a dollop of mandatory sadness. Search on YouTube will find it.
Deadly Pursuit. Tom Beringer, Kirkby Alley and Sidney poitier. Class eighties flic, not seen it for years, still decent.
Virtually no plot???? Are you kidding me! Any semblance of a plot was purely accidental and a creation of your imagination!!!!
At the cinema - the latest Jason Bourne film. Back on form after that sh*te effort without Matt Damon. On DVD - World War Z - passable zombie film - don't like the fact that they can run! Thought zombies were just meant to stumble about until you chopped their heads off!
I love 2nd World War films, Battle of Britain i must have watch god knows how many times, The longest Day, The great escape, Battle of the Bulge, Bridge too far. I could keep going.
Watched sink the Bismarck yesterday on channel 4 and Casablanca earlier in the week. It must be an age thing, I'm now watching black and white films. I do hope I'm still allowed to say black and white without being chastised for not being pc. Andy
Anyone remember the WWII film "Bridge at Remagen" - not black and white I know but I mention it as I passed the old towers of the bridge while in Germany. The real bridge collapsed in 1945 and was never rebuilt. .
your love this Steve . A black and white Real life footage and interview with the soldiers that were at the bridge, some of the footage is excellent. And the interview with the german officer is good, he gets very excited . Worth watching , A real piece of history
