Lynn's Raven cafe and Midway Truck Stop on the A41 just south of Whichurch atracts a large diverse group of bikers on weekends.

Did nowt on Doris or Tracey this weekend due to TWCBN, but having discovered that my front tyre was noticeably slidy the other night, I've ordered some RRunners online, so might or might not be on Doris on Tues

New rear tyre, fitted clutch/brake levers from jaybeebiker bits, new indicator lens & test fitted all the Kriega luggage ready for next weekend's euro road trip.
    I've gone with 1 x US10 on the tank & a US30 with a US20 either side.
Seems like more than enough but will see this week as i'm packing.
It's booked in for it's 6K service on Thursday.
    not a cheap week!

Yep Raven is a good session on a Thursday and Sunday, just need to watch for the safety camera van which is often park around the venue. If you want to go a bit further a field you could try the Ponderosa (at the top of the horse shoe pass in Wales).

Both attract lots of friendly bikers.

Out with the old, in with the new.

Fitted a pair of TEC springs in the front forks. Doesn't look like much, but on the way to work and back today really felt the difference - the mushiness at the front is gone, yet it remains a nice comfortable ride. The back is now begging for an upgrade as well.

(On a sidenote, the quality of the fork top bolts on the Bonnie is appalling! They've a really fine (aluminium?) thread, the inside thread of the forks was full of tiny shavings as I opened them; also the actual nut didn't enjoy my socket tool, and very easily scratched! )

hi Dougie, sorry it took so long to reply bin up north in the caravan with swmbo for a week. I picked up my bike from ECS yesterday. They fitted new Ktech pistons and valves to the front suspension and set the bike up for my weight, what a difference well chuffed turns much quicker and feels much more complient.

I was off in the other direction (Salisbury) but on the Enfield - giving it a good "shakedown run" to see what falls off before the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride in two weeks time.

Met up with Steve Lovatt at loomies today and went down to Poole bike night. One good thing was, we seemed to miss nearly every bit of rain that was falling all around us, the other good thing was it was a very pleasant evening strolling up and down the quay side looking at the assortment of bikes, and there were some odd ones, eating our fish and chips. Left there around 8 and encountered 2 diversions on the way home so didn't get in til 10:30. Longest ride I've done on Doris in the dark and loved every minute of it. Thanks for your company Steve, it was good to see you again. No photos I'm afraid, light was virtually gone

Good to see you again mate. We did miss the rain and failed with our photos but the fish and chips were good. Glad you enjoyed the ride home - bit further to go than me!
