As titled, R&G are now doing a tail tidy for the Thruxton. Pre order for mid July, not sure I like the micro indicators they supply but you can use the Triumph ones. What I do like is the fact you can mount the indicators by the rear suspension mounting bolts and the fact that the number plate is right up close to the rear light.

I don't believe the indicators are supplied with it, just brackets for both the original and smaller aftermarket ones.

I'll tell you for definite when mine arrives. Mine will be fitted with Rizoma Club indicators (once I have figured which of the resistance settings for the flasher 'relay' in the clocks works with that sort of LED)

You've got the choice of 4 so shouldn't take long to sort out.

My R&G Tail Tidy arrived today.......and after a quick inspection has gone straight back in the box, to be sent back. The website promises:
Compatible with the Triumph Thruxton 1200 R '16- models, this R&G tail tidy is bolstered with its out of the box "plug-and-play" wiring connectors allowing for a seamless installation

What you actually get for your £185 (inc postage) is a bunch of loose, large and nasty crimp connectors that require you cut the connector from your existing loom.......I am not doing that on a bike that is barely 6 weeks old.

So with that option out of the game for me I think I'll need to get the hacksaw out on a Triumph one, assuming that I can get hold of one quickly.

Pretty peeved that the Thais at Moto Trio get the meaning of Plug and Play and R&G don't:

    I'd do exactly the same.

    Guys
I had the same problem in that I had pre ordered with my mike the fender removal kit , AKA tail tidy.
The Triumph one looks crap and the dealer offered to replace with an R & G item .
When it came it's about a million bits n pieces , connectors, crimping and heat shrink job.
I most definitely did not want to go down this route.
I had another look at the Triumph item and have re fitted it minus one part and its definitely the better option as the rear light which also allow the LED indicators to be fixed either side of rear LED light .
Only other thing I need to figure out is how to link up the number plate light.
    See pics attached.

Though it looks even better without the light and reflector. I may go back to a legal plate to offset removing the legal bits I have at the moment ;-)

Follow the instructions on the Triumph site and it's easy enough

I guess they had to put the useless extension piece in to make it "conform" ... however by using the same hole spacing they did make it easy enough for us to "remove" ;-)

I brought both and decided to go with the R&G purely because I decide where I wanted the indicators and thought the white light matched the indicators better than the red triumph one image.jpg image.jpg

Here's my R & G tail tidy fitted with Triumph LED indicators just behind the rear shocks, nice and tidy (I think). Easy to fit too despite not being plug and play but easy instructions to follow. Could have had the indicators sited by the number plate but would have fouled on it (indicators have the short stems but if I had chosen the long stems, they would probably have cleared the number plate).

    Also like R & G's LED tail light, preferable to Triumph's o.e. part. 20170521_143118000_iOS (1).jpg
