In typical fashion, my panniers haven't turned up for a camping trip I'm taking next week.
I have a lomo waterproof kit bag that will probably hold all my gear that I could put on the passenger seat.... my question to you all is how would you tie this down? What parts of the bike would you put bungy cords or rope on?
Thanks in advance for any help!!

I would say that you need to be using any solid part of the part to hold you kitbag on - such as rear pegs for example. Have you got a backrest or rear carrier on the bike?

That's the other piece of great news. I ordered a backrest and luggage carrier and it has turned up without bolts etc so can't put it on bike. I'm gonna try to see if I can get some longer bolts tomorrow but not hopeful!

As said previous find anything strong enough to secure down to, I prefer to use luggage straps
rather than bungies I find them more secure and easier to fit with less damage to cause (as ade said you could protect area's with tape)
