I get the general gist .. but any chance of enlightening me on that last word ?

The sticker says "aye it wis" (yes it was) and the number plate says "wisny" (no it wasn't). This is like a typical argument in Scotland.

 

Linguistics question-are our American friends familiar with the expression "thrown under a bus"?

 

I can only assume that if Russia was to invade Alaska or Hawaii that Trump would be happy to give up his territory in the same way he's expecting Ukraine to

 

Trump is either a brilliant negotiator or a complete imbecile. I’m not sure at this stage which one though

 

He now says Ukraine started the war, really!!!!.
So I guess by his logic, it wasn't Germany who started WW2 after all, it must have been Poland who started it, when Germany attacked Poland, and by default then the UK and France for declaring war on Germany. The same must be said about America then, they must have started the war in the pacific, because Japan attacked Pearl Harbour. So glad he cleared that historical inaccuracy up.
