    RIP Marianne Faithful.

    The girl we all wanted as teenagers. She had that quintessential late '60s look, long hair, bangs, doe eyes and she had a great voice. I read that she was dating Jagger and sitting in at a Stones recording session. They were doing "Sympathy for the Devil" when she and a couple others started the iconic "whoo, whoo" chant, impromptu, and they kept it in the song. She was 78.

    @Fork Lock Wow sadness has come over me. Yes what a star she was and unforgettable voice. And like you said many thoughts went through my head when she performed. Sad Loss. Rest in peace Marianne. Go sing with the angels now.

    Was lucky enough to see her live a few years back .... great show ..... and 'that voice ' !
