It's sound advise, and I have asked a couple of his mates but I don't think they thought I was that serious, or they were surprised. i am going to approach them again after I tax and test it . People's garages have already got a few 'extra' things in and this is nearly 9ft so room is a issue for most. And I've heard that that people will go to great lengths to nick it is a factor they might consider. Yes ideally it needs adoption. Its had the upgrade from 750 cc to somewhere near 900 and not even been run in since. The motor was with Neil Beadling of nova classics when my dad went to the big gig in the sky. My dad inadvertently put undersized jets on it and blew one of the Pistons up and couple of the con rods. Nearly £7000 later it sounds lush but as you say needs running in and all that comes with that. I remember phrases like 'setting the tappets' and 'torquing the head'. I'm abit stuck really but can only do what I can do. At the time he passed away he was also having a new exhaust fabricated. He last saw it with 3 pipes running around the side but now it's 3 into 1. Thanks, I've found the biker community incredibly helpful so far in lots of ways. I'm abit reluctant to let anyone near it until it's safely in the front room of the house I'm about to purchase. I will get in touch with them. Thanks for the link. If I can't get anyone to look after it I think I'm going to Drain fuel from tank. Drain carbs and lines. Spray carbs with WD. Remove spark plugs and spray WD in hole and put back in. Put battery on one of those charge/dischargers Put bike on blocks. Reduce tyre pressure. Clean it and cover it in all in wd40. Cover over it indoors.
Hi, Currently riding a 2013 Triumph America and unfortunately I am way up in Dumfries and Galloway (Into Scotland, turn left and drive for 40 miles). Real shame so far away, have space and would be willing to help you out. Bike looks an absolute beauty, and I would maybe try some of his mates again and see if they would look after it, but your probably right about the physical size of trying to store something that long and be secure.
Welcome in JB that is hard losing someone so close, I would keep the bike just the same only by just cleaning and maintaining it just like your Dad did in the past, what ever you do hold on to it you will never replace what you have there, a memory, enjoy it, I have a keep sakes from my late Father and Mother and I am 63 they will be pasted down to my Grand son and Grand daughter when I am gone, in hope that they will also keep them as a memory of years gone past.

Tapped Triumph T160V (or similar - I wasn't paying attention when I did it!) into google (just to make sure) and I'm now certain that you have, as I thought, a T150, i.e. non electric start, engine in your possession. The electric start motor is visible under the carbs and above the gearbox on the T160. The engine number prefix may well confirm this. If it helps, the middle carb has, as standard, a slightly larger main jet to compensate for the fact that the middle cylinder runs a bit hotter. I believe this was also the case with some 1970s 2 stroke triples from messrs Suzuki and Kawasaki. This information comes directly from 'Anoraks 'R' Us'. ('Tis amazing how much sh1te gets lodged in your brain over the course of far too many years! Even more amazing that I can actually retrieve it from the dark side of the old grey matter!!)

The sixties and early seventies were a confusing time for gear changing. From 1966 to 1972 I had left, left, right, left, right, right and left side gear changes. Thankfully I was young enough to overcome any confusion. Nowadays I feel my head would explode!!
