Just renewed with BeMoto - didn't even bother looking round (which is most unlike me). The joint Titanium Policy for the Fireblade and Tiger only went up by £11 from last year. Good enough for me

i had a weird situation when i bought my thruxton in june. i had a MC policy on my previous CB650 and wanted to up the coverage a bit. my policy was with Liberty Mutual. the advisor on the phone said Liberty could not write new policies for MC's in Indiana. they put me through to Safeco which is one of their other holdings and they wrote the new policy. upping the coverage for a $7k MC compared to a $2k MC actually dropped the cost from @$600/yr to $250/yr. lol

A few months ago I mentioned my dealings with Bikesure and renewing my policy at the NEC show in November. I own a 2017 Bonneville Street Twin, 2001 CBR600 Sport, '94 Honda 400 NC35 & '90 400 NC29.
Last years (2023) show price was £262. This years on line renewal was £327. At the show they dropped it to £311, only a £16 saving and still a £49 hike over last year. I accepted it. Perhaps I should have called Bikesure to see if they could beat their show price but I couldn't be arsed.

I've done the phoning-round thing before and I've got to be in the right mood to face the hours spent on the phone trying to get better quotes and this time I wasn't.

I’m with Triumph insurance, which comes under Adrian Flux.
Mine went from £148 ish is £162 this year even though I reduced my milage and now have 3 years no claims.
Not the end of the world but insurance costs like everything else at the mo is becoming more expensive.

For some strange reason (which I shall not question), our motorcycle insurance rate went DOWN this year! While not a lot---$57 drop on a bill of over $1K for five bikes---I'll take it. And it didn't go up! :) Well, technically it went up a wee bit since we added Steve's 2001 Fat Boy to the insured bikes list this past fall.

Wow, that's a shade under £800. Sounds a lot to me, although I would imagine the total value of your 5 bikes must be pretty high. How do you think the general cost of bike insurance compares between the US and UK?
