Today I've been moving my Rocket and arranging my garage so that I can get another Rocket in. Later this afternoon she arrived followed by UPS delivering a Big Blue bike lift so I can get her off the floor. I think you could say the Rocket bug has bitten, oh well - back to the garage....
Lunch stop at Newlands Corner cafe (why do I always end up here in kids holiday time?) Good double burger though!
Used to have one of these, GRJ 44D, in red. Was a bit of a shed but was looking for a part and managed to get in touch with a guy from Chesterfield who raced one of these. He had the part I was after and he also ended up rebuilding the engine for me. Was I chuffed with the result !!!!!! All that happened round about 1970/71. Mine also had clip-ons and a knackered racing seat which got replaced with a new standard one.
@steve lovatt .... don't you ever go to work??? You always appear to be off riding.... Ok i'm slightly jealous as I'm sat here at my desk wishing I was out and about!! will have to take a sickie day and come join you!
Visiting my dad down at alverstoke got Tracey tiger out and had to go via loomies T or P whatever is needed more urgently, might stop in on the way back too
Haven bike night Salisbury - poor turn out as the weather was iffy. Nice Trident "Slippery Sam" replica though.
Went for a 250kms round trip with a pal yesterday, past lakes, hills, valleys, ancient villages. Great road surface and about 26° so not too hot. Sorry no pics, forgot me camera.
Looks good with the pipes, what tank protector is that ? Think I will pop up there in September as long as we get some decent weather it looks ace, and only about 40 odd miles from me
