Just registered tonight, I currently ride a Vespa GTS but looking to get a Triumph of some description in the coming months, so where else to start my research than here?! I'm looking at bikes <5k GBP so Speed 400 or older Speed Twins or Bonnies are in my sights. Originally from Scotland but I'm now based in South Birmingham, UK, so up for any ride outs or events etc... Glad to be here,
    Regards,
    The Arranach

@Arranach Welcome to the family. If you do go ahead and purchase a Triumph do let us all know. I have now dropped to the 400's as well as i find them lighter and nimble. Sure they are not sports bikes but they really do suit me these days and are quite nimble and easy to handle.

That’s interesting Joe. I’ve been reading some owners reviews which reveals there are a few teething problems such as ECU (Engine cutting out) with the early ones. You got any issues with your one? Do you think I should hold my Purchase until Triumph iron out these issues?

@Arranach No i have not had any problems with either of my 400's I have the street and the scrambler both perfect at present. Possibly if you get a good deal go for it. But this time of year some people will leave it till the new year as then you stand a good chance to get a discount especially as the dealers are trying to clear the showrooms to make way for the new models coming in.
