You need to do something about that, it’s far to narrow. Not a happy bunny this morning to find my streak of 382 reduced to 1. Looks like I completely missed Tuesday. I’ll blame it on the meds, broken collarbone, now I’ve got a matching pair.
@Oldskool , @Dawsy My stupid mistake. Only minutes after this drone shot was taken. Sitting on the bike, no engine running, tried to turn my 360 camera on, but with gloved hands couldn’t. So I was intending to get off of the bike and get it sorted. Thinking about the camera, new for this trip, I’d forgotten that I’d already flipped the prop stand up. And we just toppled over, the car park surface is crushed rock, maybe I was unlucky and picked a large lump to fall on. The bike is completely untouched thanks to my left boot being trapped between the engine casing and the deck. The service at The Royal Shrewsbury A&E was amazing, triage, X-ray and consultation 45 minutes tops.
Hope your recovery is quick and at least the jacket worked protecting you as intended from further damage. Plus it now has a nice battle scar to show off , anything Marquez can do, @Baza can do too
Physio tomorrow. Evidently it takes 8 weeks to recover so both bikes now off of the road as I had intended to take them off in October anyway.
Yep x8 weeks sounds about right. I came off an mtb going down a set of steps in the dark whilst it was raining, you know like you do Clearing the bottom half dozen steps in an "a over t" fashion I created an AC separation of the left collar bone. Whilst not broken, it is permanently displaced from its correct position and that took around x8 weeks in a sling before normal life resumed. Physio will give you exercises and different coloured ( strengths) lengths of elastic sheet which do allow gentle controlled motions. Enjoy
Did my right one together with a rib and my shoulder blade getting on for 15 years ago at 10 mph on the Ducati. Low side but the bars touched first trapping my right hand between the brake lever and the bars so the bike dragged me across the blacktop until we came to a stop. The collarbone has a 25° bend now but at least this one is at the end and is termed “contained”.
Sounds like you've enough knowledge for the correct way ahead, take it easy. A mate was telling me, yes, yes, you know what's coming How many people he could take into the gooseneck at Cadwell.... umm. One day they went past whilst he was sat on the floor awaiting the ambulance Collar bone positively fooked and a permanent issue for cold days
