Hi there, thanks for having me on the forum. Between me and my better half ( who has been a member on this forum for quite a while) we have 3 Triumphs, I have a 1976 T140, she has a 2020 T100 and recently acquired a 1995 Thunderbird to share. In addition to these, I have a 1971 Norton Commando ( I've had the T140 & Norton since 1978). In addition to these, we have 8 others. I was once told that once you reach 50 should stop adding bikes...I guess I can still add 38 more...
@Old school welcome to the family with your better half. Do hit the upload a file button and show of some of the collection
"Hi From Georgia (usa)" The title of your post made me think of How to stuff a wild bikini. From the Rats and Mice, welcome to the forum.
i almost bought one new back then, but i opted for a used 1972 that didnt take all my money. i rode that machine today.
Mine was 2 years old when I got it. Paid $900 for it. Seemed like a lot of money back then, but I just had to have it. The only thing I've done to it is to replace the clutch, clutch cable and painstakingly paint the tank back to the original colors. Unfortunately its leaking enough oil from the push rod tubes to cause concern so I'll have to take the head off - a job I'm not looking forward to especially since I've just finished a complete engine rebuild on my Norton which was my primary ride for the first 30 or so years that I had the 2 bikes.
Thanks. Me and the better half have been riding street bikes forever, but wanted to get our unlicensed kids some motorcycle experience so we added 5 enduros ( dual Sports on today's world) over the last 2 years. It's been a lot of fun going back to how I started riding 60 years ago...
