As much as it looks to be a foregone conclusion, to all in the UK, take the trouble to go and vote tomorrow. I'm out of the country and left it too late to organise a proxy vote, and being honest l haven't voted for years. They all seem largely to piss in the same pot. That said though it's all we have. Not for me to tell you how to vote, but please make the effort.
My party of choice doesn't have a candidate in my area unfortunately so my vote will be tactical. You're right, they do all largely piss in the same pot, some piss in the middle, some piss on the rim but they're all in there.
I've always tried to look at the candidates for the constituency and go for the one who appears to be offering the best for the local area regardless of their party affiliations, but I sometimes think I'm being overly naive, so if the Monster raving looney party are standing here..........
I’ve buried my head years ago. It’s of no interest. It’s like choosing a car that breaks down here or over there, makes no odds as a car that’s reliable is the option what I need and no party is fit for purpose
I've voted conservative my entire life. But I can't bring myself to ever do so again. IMHO, Labour will be even worse especially in terms of their take on illegal immigration & gender politics. So I'm casting my vote elsewhere on this occasion. I can't see my chosen party being elected this time around. However, the results they'll achieve should send a strong message to the Tories about the way they've ballsed up the running of our country. IMHO, Labour & the Tories are two heads of the same snake. PS Admin are brave to allow this thread to exist. It's always a highly charged subject. I predict that someone will overstep the mark. But who doesn't enjoy a good firework display?
@Petrolhead67 the old ‘Covid’ one was blue in the air!! Looked like someone chucked a grenade in there!!
Sorry buddy, I don't understand what you mean? The way Covid was dealt with was awful. It ruined the lives of thousands of people all while making some rich people even richer via lucrative PPE deals etc. Not to mention the huge revenue generated by the makers of the various vaccines. Anyway, I guess that's venturing into the realms of political opinions & political differences!
I did consider the potential divisiveness of such a thread, but the best way to get treated like an adult is to behave like one. I believe this forum has developed well since Brexit, Covid and Jezgate. But just in case, check out Godwin's Law . Let's keep it clean guys
It should work out fine if those people who claim to be open-minded & tolerant of the views of others, genuinely are? If not, Admin can always delete the thread
I like how the OP telling us to use our vote won't actually be voting!! In Scotland the choice is further complicated by pro or anti independence..... but I'm not telling you which way I'll go.
