Hi all, for all those involved Dougie has suggested that we should should celebrate this first ever big gathering with a group photo - I have a feeling there will be many:):) - but this is to be perhaps a little more 'structured' or formal. I know it goes without saying but this will be a black tie do.

So could all those that are coming to the event please signal their availability, on this poll.

perhaps some of the guys who know the area could suggest a good location for a group photo,it would be good if we could get us all in with our bikes, maybe in something like a horseshoe formation, rather than just a long line of bikes..any photographers on here with ideas?

If I might say something about ties evening, it might be a bit difficult to organise due to arrival times, sore arses and a beer or two had by early arrivals

Question - Is there any form of plan (cunning or otherwise) for this meet? Just thinking me and SWMBO (Chris) are hoping to "drop in" for a day or two, but finding you (outside of pub opening times) could prove challenging.
Any itinerary, ride-out routes, contact info available?
Bloody long way from Lands End to end up "Billy no mates" in Derbyshire. :(

That's a good question @Col_C I believe someone had offered to arrange a few ride outs and with the numbers I feel it would be chaos if they were just random and not of the Drop off scheme with a leader and tail end Charlie familiar with the system.
    OWN UP!! Who volunteered??

OK on the subject of rideouts there was one to the oil can cafe at Hepworth or was I dreaming:rolleyes:

When I joined the forum and added my name to the list of attendees as a 1 day visitor on the Wednesday I said I could possibly lead a rideout.
I was hoping to get out that way this week and post a route but we've got the grandchildren aged 2 & 4 for a week so a ride around the area will have to be next week.
I'm not local, about 40 miles from the Royal Oak but have ridden some of the area over the years.
We'll definitely have to use the drop of system with a sweeper/ tail end Charlie.

As the meet up is during the peak holiday period in a popular part of the country and I think there will be riders of varying experience riding different types of bikes, sports, adventure, classic or cruisers then the rideout will be a bimble not a race.
The route will be A roads and quite a few B roads with plenty of undulations and hopefully scenic total mileage will be about 90 - 100 miles. I'll try and keep out of towns.
Be patient if we end up in a farm yard or two:) I don't use sat nav:rolleyes:

Sorry I have to say the I can't be held responsible for the actions, riding or otherwise of anyone participating in the rideout.

Hope this meets with approval, Dave.
