Hi everybody ! I am Xavi.

Just let me introduce myself, I am old guy used to motorcycles for a long time, love these machines.
I am not used to forums but now I am posting here because I am super lost and alone with my brand new Street Triple R 2024.
For long time I had had the pleasure to drive the first Street Triple 675, fantastic motorcycle and after 14 years I decided to buy the new Street Triple R 2024.

My new ST-R unit has good things I like but it does not go smooth.
It has a very suspicious and scary noise coming from the drive train nobody knows where comes from. These drive train knocks are very noticable after some motorcycle warmup time, after 10 minutes at highway legal speeds.

I will apraciate any advice. Thanks !

    Hi Xavi

What is Triumph saying to it?

If your Street Triple is brand new and still under warranty then the first thing you MUST do is take it back to the dealer and report/record it as a problem. If you're experiencing something that makes you use the word "knocks" then there is a problem that needs to be investigated quickly and thoroughly.

My advice - and I suspect most motorcyclists here would agree - is get it to a Triumph dealer straight away. Ride it carefully and gently but be very clear with the dealer that there is something wrong and it needs to be resolved under warranty.

    Good luck.

Hi and welcome to the forum - as mentioned above return it to the dealer for them to investigate and resolve under warranty

Hi all, thanks for the recommendations.
    Here is more context.

Yes, the bike is under warranty and they care.
About Thriumph, they do not ask me anything or look for info to better understand the problem, just tell me to contact with de dealer.
And the dealer has done several tests and testing several times and rides and always the answer is the same; that everything is fine, that the motorcycle behaves this way.
This bike has been more time at the dealer garage than in my parking.

What worries me the most is the above sentence, "the bike behaves this way".
I have not been able to ride any other ST-R to compare with. What I ride was the ST-RS as the dealer claimed both bikes were almost the same and they did not have any ST-R to try. But after this time I tried again the RS and does not show the behaviour I experience with my R.

The R and RS are completely different, yes they share the same frame, however the engine internals are different in many ways, as is the suspension, the RS produces more BHP, it also has more low and mid range torque than the R. I would get it back to your dealer ASAP and insist they look into the issue, don't let them fob you off, if no joy then you can e mail Triumph UK direct and ask them to resolve matters via the dealer.
