My name is Ken, I am currently riding my third triumph, a Tiger 1200 Rally explorer (2023). Previously I had a tiger 900 gt pro and before that a Bonneville t120 Black which i took on a 25 state 7600 mile camping trip over 2 months. I am in colorado. I could use some help with tires. I will someday take this tiger "off-road" but not for some time. I will be taking it on an 1800 mile road trip in a little over a month from now though. The current stock tires are almost unbearable with the whine they create at 60+mph. Is this common? if normal, what tire can I switch to in order to make the ride quiet? I will be on highways for at least the next year ( I,m not ready to venture off road yet). anyone else running road tires that are quiet? Thanks. Ken
Hi there! Welcome to the forum! You may choose the Michelin Annakee Adventure. It is a 80/20 tyre. Or if you need more offroad possibilities the Michelin Annakee Wild which is a 50/50 tyre. Alternative: Metzeler Karoo 4.
@Ken Tabor Markus has given you a couple of good choices there. All i would add is if you can find Avon's i find them really good with long lasting abilities. Welcome to the family. Picture would be nice if you hit the upload a file button and let us all have a look. Joe
