Super excited because I've wanted a bike since I was a kid, and always loved the Triumph bikes. I just picked my first bike, an exceptional 2011 Triumph America! Stole it for $2700!! The bottom bike was what I originally was going to purchase until I saw the 2011

Welcome and enjoy. I had a Honda 90cc Scrambler in High School. Sold it at age 18. I loved it, but I always wanted a Bonneville like some of the other kids in school had. Never happened. I just retired and I decided to try riding again. I'm 72. I took the two day course to get my license and to see if I could still ride. I passed. I learned from that course that I have a LOT of learning to do. Its been more than 50 years and I'm nearly a rank beginner. So, I practice slow speed stuff on nearby parking lots as much as I can. Its coming along pretty well. I bought a 2022 T100. Love it. It is a very well made machine. Everything works smoothly. Getting used to the weight. But, I'm getting there. I'll stay away from traffic for a good long while. I enjoy riding on country roads around my home. Glorious listening to that burble as I ride along in rural Vermont.

You're a mere youngster! I bought my first big bike, a Honda CBR500R, in early 2018 at the ripe old age of 67 in eager anticipation of passing my full test, which I did in July that year. I'd never ridden a bike before I took my CBT in 2017 and worked my way up to my full test. Since then I've bought another 15 bikes, trying to find what suits me best, and now have just four - all Triumphs - including a 2012 T100 865. Enjoy your riding and stay safe, biking is definitely life and happiness enhancing!

Funny enough, I bought my first bike at 56! Now 62, and I passed my original Speed Triple on to my son, and bought a Sprint GT (590 lbs). I put 17,000 more miles on it, now 43k. I recently bought a Trophy SE (662 lbs) to improve the wind protection since we often take longer rides.
One of my favorite trips was to Vermont! We rode between the ski areas in summer, and rode through countless covered bridges! We hope to go back someday. To make things easier, I tend to carry the bike to the destination, and tour from there (see photo). That's how we looped the National Parks in Utah with our travel trailer!

    Where will you ride?
PS. At 56, I dove right in with my first bike, commuting 30 miles to work in NJ. Your car driving experience will serve you well in anticipating the behavior of other drivers. Right lane travel until you are comfortable, and you'll get the hang of it quickly!

I'll be riding to and from work (22 mile r/t) and then weekend excursions in the NW Georgia mountains!
