    image.png image.png Ive noticed some rough idling and hooked up dealertool to view throttle body readings. Numbers 1 and 3 were balanced together but 2 was way off; 67-58-67. Removed the airbox and went to work. The best i could get is 65-57-65. I had the center adjuster nearly screwed all the way in. I experimented with many different ways to try to get them in synch. I checked all of the map hoses including the two going to cylinder 2 and they were all good. I then viewed the sensor readings with dealertool and attached those screenshots. Im curious about the fuel injectors. Looks like number 2 reads much lower. Any thoughts?

    Speak to a dealer and see if they should all be set to the same reading. I know on my old 2005 VFR 800 they were set slightly different so that they came online slightly, and I'm talking milliseconds, apart to avoid the throttle snatching going from overrun to power. Also, balancing the throttles is usually the last thing you do after making sure the spark plug is good, valve clearances are OK etc. You could have a lazy injector, can you swap it to another cylinder and repeat your diagnosis to see if the problem moves to another cylinder.

    As Yorkshireman said you'll probably find they're not the same as 1&3 on a triple (different cc on that bore? valve sizes?injector flow? etc)

    Its a vacuum issue im sure. Just wondering if anyone else witg a newer speed has same problem. Found one guy that said the vac line to number 2 was too short. He removed the canister and caps nipples and all good.

    I would say it points to a vacuum problem. Either the pipes, or where they mount onto the TB spigots there is a leak.

    The whole throttle body assembly is mounted to the head via 3 large rubber tubes. The body pushes in to them and 3 large hose clips seal them. The middle one is a sod to get to (also easily forgotten). I'd give that a good coat of looking at (loose clips or cracked rubbers). Especially if it's had a valve service, have to remove throttle body assembly to get at them.

    Anyway......
    2015 bike, still under warranty, isn't it the dealers problem?
    (I'm a bit slow, took a while for the post heading to register) ;)

    If i can fix it with a new rubber vac line that would be nuch easier. I know balancing is not covered under warranty but something like thus should be

    Victor, you are the frickin man! That what it was. Sai hose was pushing up on map vac line to cyl 3. Was able to synch all to 63 now! Runs soooo much better. Thanks! Only place i could zip tie to was the brass colored adjustable ring around the base of the throttle body. I can see a sai delete soon just to get rid of that big hose but its fine for now.

    Glad you're sorted, things like this can really pxxs you about. Makes you question the pdi the dealers carry out, as it made mine so much smoother too. That's why I do all my own maintenance

    PDI and dealers: Makes my blood boil - I've just picked up a new car and here's the list of faults I've found up to now and it's only 3 days old:
    1. Tyre pressures - all in Transport mode of 3 bar, should have been 2.2 front and 2.0 rear;
    2. Dashboard in Transport Mode - searched on the 'net and found how to re-set it;
    3. Car is a Ltd Edition model but half the 'special stuff' not there;
    4. Something loose in the tailgate rattles every time I open or close it.

    Makes me wonder in there are any other bits of the car still in Transport Mode or left undone?

    It seem obvious to me that the PDI just wasn't done - very disappointed and lacking confidence in supplying dealer.
