I was in my local dealer yesterday and asked what would be replacing the Thruxton and the answer was Nothing. So all you lucky people that own one, they are keepers.

I ordered mine, it will be my first Triumph.
Until now I have always had Hondas. I currently have a Cb1000R 2021 Black Edition that I really like.
I hope I won't be disappointed by the reliability of the Triumph.

You won't be dissapointed. Never had even the smallest issue with mine in over 30.000 km, only the regular maintenance...

How so? As has been said before, if it was a best (or even good) seller they wouldn’t have pulled the plug on them.

The name Thruxton has provenance which is what retro machines are all about. Just like the name Bonneville has provenance, unlike all the Chrome or Stealth crap they encourage followers of the marque to spend their hard earned cash on.

What would the reaction be if they were to dump the name Bonneville? They can’t even get that right, whoever heard of a Bonneville T100. They make a big thing of the Triumph heritage but fail to pay true homage to it.

I’ll pick up my soapbox and go nowo_O

I agree on the provenance but I assume it didn’t acquaint to enough sales figures. Perhaps they should have looked at the price tag?
Anyhow, each to their own. Overall Triumph are well in the black so obviously know the business far better than me ;)
I’ll also retire my soapbox, goodnight.

I am so so tempted to get one but it'll be a second bike and the money paid out to get one is eye watering, I'm wondering if its best to hold off 12-18 months then see if I can pick up a cheaper second hand one, can imagine a few been sold on quickly with low miles after the owners realise its not as comfortable as most bikes...

Could be a sound strategy. The riding position is nowhere near as aggressive as that of my Ducati. My son’s 2012 model is a dream to ride. So much so that he is using it for our annual sojourn to Wales in August rather than his Panigale that he took last year.

I heard from my dealer and my Thruxton Fe is supposed to arrive between April 21 and May 10. I'm really looking forward.

Marketing people will do whatever they can to boost sales. A pinstripe here, a set of fancy wheels there. It wouldn't suprise me if the FE sells well that they have a further (limited production run of course) of VFE models. Very Final Edition. Lol Neither would it suprise me if the Thruxton name is appended to another model at some point in the future.

I think we can be sure that now they'll focus on on building a Speed Twin RS or R now.

I am sure there is a market for a Speed Twin RS. Really surprised they have not done one yet.

Hi Folks, a new Triumph Street Triple spied in Spain whilst out testing, it has lugs welded to the frame, indication mounting points for a fairing, and lower bar position, it may well be a machine not an aggressive riding position as the limited run of 765 units of the Moto 2 edition.
