My Speed Twin 1200 now has 4000 km on the clock and had the 1st service a few months ago. The clutch does not feel "linear" (lack of better word to describe the issue) when the bike is cold (eg. startup in the morning). When I pull away in 1st it feels like it engages unevenly - just slightly enough to notice. When heated up everything is OK. Is this normal?

Clutch drag is normal with cold oil and will largely disappear when the engine warms but doesn't usually cause pulsating as you describe. That's more likely due to warped clutch plates but if it's not present with a hot engine I shouldn't worry about it. Was it OK before the service?

I think it was there when I got the bike. I will have a chat to the dealer... It disappears very quickly though....

I would agree with @Pegscraper it will improve with some more miles. Also check the cable that it is free and only have a ml or two free play. And still no harm if you are going to the dealer just check. Joe
