In 1972 Anne-France Dautheville was the only woman to join the Orion-Raid motorcycle tour. She rode a Moto Guzzi 750 from Paris to Isfahan, Iran, and then continued on to Afghanistan. The following year she rode a Kawasaki 125 around the world, becoming the first woman to do so.
The couple of AI images on this page show that the process is improving at quite a rate (hey, the woman with visible hands has fingers!). I wonder how long before there will be no need for women dress in daft outfits and contort themselves around motorbikes and the computers can do that for them?
