Scrambler 1200xc Scrambler Won’t Start!

My 2019 1200xc scrambler won’t start after being on a trickle charger over the winter. First button lights up lights and panel, so far so good, then upon attempting to crank , I get a SNAP sound from somewhere on the bike. My volt meter showed the battery was only at 9.5 v, so I trickle charge it up to 12.75v and try again. SAME scenario! I’ve recharged now 3 times with the same result. After the SNAP, I measure the voltage and it is 9.5v volts again. No cranking is happening, but whatever that snap sound is, it is instantly zapping 3.25v from the battery! ANY THOUGHTS Appreciated! Do I need a new battery or…?

 

New battery coming in mail soon, but when I tried a booster, the headlight strobed and all kinds of lights and noises happened, tried to start it and same loud click, then dead again. Will see what new battery does…
