Good day. New to the forum. Picked up a 2013' Thunderbird 1600 last summer, love the bike. I live in Northern Michigan....

I'm looking to put on a stop light flasher. Can anyone recommend something reliable and easy install? I don't want to change to LED if I can help it.

    Thanks in advance.

Welcome! I enjoyed our visit to Lake Superior, Michigan and Huron last fall! Beautiful country. We even spent time in the Petoskey area, which was charming. Too many straight roads for my preference on the bike, though.

I have no experience with the stoplight flasher, but assume that it is a simple module on the brake light, much like a turn signal flasher.

Regarding LEDs, I am a huge proponent of them, and have replaced all turn signals, headlights and taillights on both my Sprint GT, Trophy and both cars! Once you see the bright and crisp action of an LED, you will be convinced of the superior visibility vs "lazy" incandescent bulbs. Of course, my primary motivation is safety. If you prefer the classic look of incandescent bulbs, that it a personal choice.

Thanks for the input. I have had LED's in the past, and the light in better than incandescent for sure. I'm trying to keep the stock look, if possible, I just like the looks of the bike in general. Next time in Michigan, take the west shore drive up from Manistee. Rt. 22 through Glen Harbor is a nice windy road and provides some great landscape. On another note! Anyone ever taken the Ride-Like-A-Pro training? I have a few of his videos and am impressed. It's been 10+ years since I've ridden a big bike, and after knee and shoulder replacements and 64 years old, I feel I have lost my nerve.... or just a lot more idiots on the road. I'd like to maneuver this thing like I did when I was into Trials bikes. Ahhhhhh that would be about 45 years ago.

Sorry that we missed that stretch of Michigan along the Lake Michigan shore. We were driving (truck with the bike in the back and a travel trailer) to Big Star Lake, where my brother has a place.

The Canadian Maritimes are definitely on the list: we are headed to Maine for a family reunion this summer, and will likely continue north to Acadia and Lunenberg and Halifax, NS (with a different Triumph- Trophy SE, and the travel trailer). Loved the Cabot Trail, and will consider that again while we are there!
