I don't actually have it yet, but I just placed a deposit on a 2022 Bonneville T120 Gold Line. I liked the looks of the Gold Line as soon as it came out and sort of expected it to become a desirable classic. That hasn't happened yet which is a good thing for me. In fact, it may never happen, but that doesn't matter because soon I will have the bike I've been thinking about for 2 years.
Welcome. I recently bought a used 2022 T100 Gold Line. Lovely bike. It hasn't even been fully run in yet Waiting for the winter weather to break up here in Vermont.
Welcome to the Triumph owners forum! I, too, live in NJ, but at the Northwest corner in Sussex County. I'm not terribly familiar with your part of the state, but I'm sure that you can find interesting places to ride from home. Around here, I have been on Hawk's Nest countless times, and continuing to the restored Roebling Bridge (yes, the same guy who built the Brooklyn Bridge built a canal bridge over the Lackawaxen River). Beyond that is Towpath Rd along the Lackawaxen for as long as you enjoy the river view and the stone remnants of the old canal along the road. If you travel with the bike, there are surely many options for places to visit. Burlington and rides to the ski areas, particularly Smuggler's Notch to Stowe, is like being in Switzerland! Enjoy!
Thanks. Interestingly enough, I usually head towards north-west Jersey on most of my rides. I've been to most of those places including Hawk's Nest which I ride at a easy pace to enjoy the scenery. Another typical ride I do is PA 611 and PA 32 along the Delaware. Great views. I've also done the whole length of Rt 519 which has some very nice parts.
Great rides! If you are so inclined nest visit, continue past Hawk's Nest on 97, 18 miles further until you reach the Roebling Aqueduct Bridge over the Delaware. Across the [one lane] bridge, you will have to take a left for a few hundred yards (nice restaurant there for a bite with a view of the Delaware). At the next T- intersection, take a sharp right and follow 590 along the Lackawaxen. Continuing straight will make it Towpath Rd. which takes you in the direction of Lake Wallenpaupack as far as you wish. One of my favorite rides around here. Long haul if you start in mid-state, though. Bring on the nice weather!
Thanks for the welcome. I picked up the bike and rode it home. I also have Honda ST1300 which I'll be keeping and the 2 bikes couldn't be much different. The Honda has more of a sport feel at higher speeds and the Triumph is much more nimble at lower speeds. They also differ a lot in how they make their power. The Honda starts coming on strong above 5K and the Triumph is really strong below that. I can't say I prefer one over the other. Anyway, here's my 2 bikes together. I'm lucky to be able to afford both.
