Speedmaste/america Dashboard

Can anyone tell me what the blanked out sections are on a Speedmaster/America dashboard? I'm looking to fit a USB to my 2009 and wondered if the slot might be a mount for a standard USB accessory of some type. It's not identified in my manual (pictured, but not identified).

I suggest you email Triumph including the picture. I'm not saying you'll get an answer but it's worth a try surely.

I Googled and found that someone else asked the same question on another Triumph forum (triumphrat.net) and this is the reply he received :-

They are rubber blanking plugs for optional accessories.

The one on the left takes the LED for the alarm (when fitted).

The one on the right is for the adjustment button for the optional clock on the America.
