Not raining today (Boxing Day) so got out for a couple of hours to test the newly fitted Gear Indicator and blow the cobwebs away.

I treated myself to a new helmet today, another Neotec II to go with my white one. Just need to fit my comms kit and I will be good to go.

That is one good looking helmet, @Wessa! What is that color called? I have a riding buddy who loves the Neotec and he also has two of them. I'm not completely sold on modulars (yet...) but I am starting to gravitate towards this particular helmet. What do you most like about it??

Hi @Sandi T the colour is Anthracite.
My likes are that the helmet is comfortable, easy to use and quiet for a flip front helmet. It has a dark/sun inner visor and in addition it is certified for riding both open and closed.

Thanks for the feedback, @Wessa. I definitely like Shoei's and they fit my noggin well. I've also found the inner visors to be very helpful living in the land of the blazing sun. Enjoy your new purchase! :)

I'll fitted a lot of bits to my lady...Images attached

    1. TEC levers
    2. Hitchcox exhaust - that was done last summer
    3. Ohlins rear shocks
    4. Black intake covers
    5. Black Bolts
    6. Motone Speedo cover in black
    7. Couple of badges

I want to paint the heel guards and headlight brackets satin black and eventually fit TEC progressive front springs.

    Still love the bike,,,

I'd get the heel guards and light brackets powder coated if I were you, much harder wearing.

Wash and polish after a wet weekend away.
Exhaust cleaned up nicely after not polishing them for some time (0000 wool and autosol metal polish)

Fork Lock Crème de la Crème

Got out after a couple week hiatus. We had an ice storm the week before last, then six inches of snow last week. Hate the stuff. If I want to see snow, I'll but a calendar with pictures of mountains. Then, over past few days we had steady rain and temps in the 40s. Yesterday all the snow and ice was gone. It was sunny and hit 53 degrees. I took a ride out the back roads to the state park where my buds and I go "camping." Not really camping - we're a drinking club with a fishing problem, actually. My Speedmaster, Miss Maggie, seems to like the cold air. She ran well. Then on and about and somehow ended up at the tappy I visit occasionally. My rule: two wheels - two beers. It used to be a dive bar called "Russell's.". Your boots would stick to the floor, but the new owners overhauled it and now it's rather posh. The took a perfectly trashy, comfy dive bar and turned it into a sports bar. I liked the old place better. By 4:00 the temps started to dip into the 40s again and I headed home. About a 50 mile round trip.
    I can breathe again.

    The old place.

See what you mean, and how one could have become attached to the old place.

Changed the oil, cleaned the calipers, new brake fluid and some new levers then off for a ride to Wendover for a coffee.
