I'm new to the forum, but I bought a Sprint ST1050 in 2014 because it just looked gorgeous, and I was commuting to Nottingham, Humberside and Liverpool happily.
However in recent years I'd not really taken it out much because it was getting uncomfortable on the wrists and back. Could it be age catching up with me?
This year I toyed with the idea of ditching the biking because I wasn't getting out, but then agreed with the wife that if I found one that was actually more comfortable to ride, then maybe I'd change it, and maybe she would actually come out as pillion too!
I still couldn't resist the lure of the Triumph, so settled with a 2016 Sprint GT SE - and how different it is from the ST. Smoother ride (the highter gearing helps) better riding position, easier gear change (I found afterwards that there should have been a recall on the ST to deal with the sloppy gear change which caused missed gears and hassle finding neutral), and getting it on the centre stand is actually possible now.
Only thing I want to change is to raise the bars a touch to reduce some wrist pressure and then I believe it can go anywhere!

Nice try, but no: wood pellet storage at the ports and energy from waste generation plant.

Nice bike! I have a 2011 Sprint GT 1050 (with 42k miles on the clock). To ease the riding position, I added 25mm risers to the handlebars (see photo with the aluminum risers). I needed to reroute the clutch cable over the top of the ignition key switch to ease the tension. I also had to rotate the clutch lever slightly forward/down to avoid contact with the faring.
I also modified Buell 25mm drop footpegs to fit to give me a little more legroom on the bike (photo attached). It took a fair bit of grinding to narrow the mounting point enough, but there's plenty of strength. Both mods have been a noticeable improvement.
