as of a montho r two ago, i can no longer post images on this forum. i use imgur.com, and have had no difficulty inthe past. i also have no difficulty in the present, elesewhere. the problem seems confined to this forum.

the problem occurs here on triumphforum.com, at triumphtalk. com, but not at triumphrat.com.

    all are xenforo forums.

the same jpg posts without problem on simple machines,

I've never heard of imgur.com so have no idea what it is or does but I just upload photos direct from my ipad/MAC without issue. I assume you've tried that?

imgur is an image hosting site similar to photobucket or pinterest.

i can upload an image from my phone if the image is located there. frequently i use images from elsewhere on the net or from sources texted or emailed to me. the forum upload feature cannot handle that.

When I post images from the net or others, I typically just do a screen shot then post that. I rarely if ever have problems doing that. It just involves one more step for me.

well, maybe i can tweak this. stoll, it would be better to have more control over the image

You’re right, it is a workaround, @speedrattle. But I’ve gotten pretty quick at it over the years. On my phone I can just crop the screenshot with my finger before it disappears off my screen and then save it to my photos and add it as a file. Or if I am on my laptop, I can save it to my desktop, then just drag it onto my forum post. If I’ve taken a panorama shot, the JPEG is typically too big to post on the forum. So I just make it smaller on my screen, take a screenshot of it, and post it that way. That last test photo post looked pretty good, by the way! Thanks for being persistent and continuing to try to share your photos with us. I’m sure it’s frustrating to not be able to post the same way you have been able to previously.
