Hello, I'm from Indiana, USA, almost 70 years old, and own a 1965 Triumph TR6 which I bought in 1995, and almost immediately started restoring it to, as original as I could get it, but to ride, and enjoy. I've repainted it, replaced the exhaust, converted it from 6 volt to 12 volts, replaced the stator rotor, installed a Boyer electronic ignition, a Boyer Power Box, rebuilt the forks, clutch, carburetor, and top end all by 1998. I've done all the work myself, and can do most anything mechanically but have very little electrical experience. I now have a charging problem that I will list in another post, and hope for some help. Thanks again for having me
more pitchers! i race a 1965 T120 in the loring timing association LSR meets. welcome. put your electrical question way down in the vintage classics section and the old farts will see it sooner
1996, painted the bike red, and silver, then found out the original colors, and ordered the factory colors, and painted it gold, and white. Hope you enjoy.
mine does 135 with 1970 cases and a stock 4-speed. the next fastest is at 134 in an OIF with a 5-speed. theres a 1967 BSA hornet that just hit 134 as well. dont worry about being old. im 67 and there are farts around here older than me
That's quite a high speed out of an old Triumph. Have you changed front or back sprockets at all or it's all stock?
Thats a great looking Triumph you have there, well done to you and carry on enjoying, age it's only a number
Thank you, I'd wanted a Triumph since I started driving, it was about 25 years later that I finally got one. I hope I'm able to ride quite awhile yet
