Almost all the fasteners on the Speed Twin are titanium now so next with the bushes to be replaced. Originals at the front, titanium at the back.

Bike now de-catted (that was fun), pretty much all the fasteners replaced with titanium ones either bought or made by me. Total weight saved for fasteners (not that was the reason for me doing it) 2.4 lbs or just over a kilo. Combined with x-pipe about a 6 lb saving and a bit of a growl.

Is the X pipe worth the money/effort? Seems the 1200's are not "loud" motors even without the cat...

In my opinion, not really. Massive faf getting the original pipes off and then having the bike dyno'd and power commander fitted. Not that everyone does the dyno bit but in hindsite I wouldn't do it again.
