Thinking about buying my first triumph and looking at the 2023 street triple. My local shop has an rs for sale but I'm a little confused. I looked on triumph's website and they have some bikes listed under street triple and others under street triple 765. I don't know what the difference is. The one in the shop is carbon black and I just want to make sure I know what I'm getting if I buy it. Thanks all.

    Hi,
The carbon black one if I’m not mistaken is the older 2022 model, the new revised 2023 765 (R) version comes in Silver or crystal white.
The 765 (RS) version comes in Yellow, Red, grey
I’ve got the White (R) version and it is wicked, great to look at and awesome on the roads:) hope this helps

Yes it does. Thank you. I found a carnival red 2024 street triple rs off the lot near me for $13,498. It's slightly used with 600 miles but that seems reasonable even though it's still almost the cost of a new one. The fees dealers tack on the end are outrageous. Haven't pulled the trigger yet. Was going to go cheaper budget wise but it sounds like an amazing machine.

I looked at the website recently and it is confusing. They refer to the new models with the 765 suffix. Note the older model R and RS have the same performance stats. The new R has a 10 bhp boost. I also noted that they list the LRH in the older model line up.

The Street Triple 765 and Street Triple are essentially the same bikes with different engine sizes. The RS is the top-of-the-line variant with premium features. Carbon black sounds like a cool color choice. Good luck with your Triumph decision!

You will find that the Street Triples all have the 765cc lump in them. Others, more knowledgeable than me will advise when the capacity was increased from 675cc, I think it was maybe 2019?
