Abm Bars Speed Rr

Hey all
I've bought some ABM clip ons for the RR. Hopefully help with the issues around comfort.

Any how. Reading the instructions.
It mentions a few things.
1. The workshop manual for bleeding brakes. I assume bleeding the brakes on the RR isn't particular special. Or do I need 'the workshop manual?'
2. I need new brake seals. Anyone got a link to what I need?

Yeah I found out I just needed some crush washers. Good old amazon to the rescue.

Regarding the dealer tool. Thank you for the info. Although I am a little bit. How difficult does it need to be to bleed the brakes. ‍♂️

 

I'll be delighted to share once they are fitted, as it will hopefully mean the bike is comfortable. Big day next Monday

Ordered the dealertool today.
Just annoying, as you'd have thought bleeding brakes should be a regular service item that an owner could complete themselves.
Plus, the ABM bars were already expensive, so an extra £60 on the dealertool is hardly ideal.

Saying all that. It's my mate who is fitting the bars for me.

Plus. Considering I've only down 1,100 miles since I bought the bike in Dec, that as long as it's comfy. A couple of £ whilst not ideal will hopefully result in a perfect bike.
And I only paid £13.5 for the new RR. So if it had been £14.5 I'd have been happy.

So. Firstly. I didn't fit the bars myself.
I think you need to be more than ok around a tool box.
And idea, there are a number of tools you'll actually need!
Took us approx six hours to complete the task, that's with an additional brake bleed. Noting we didn't bleed the ABS system. So didn't use the dealertool....(which therefore will be up for sale soon)

Overall. I've raised the bars to what is in the instruction manual. However, now on the bike it's easier enough to adjust if you want.

Annoyingly. I was told you couldn't use after market bar ends. But you can. So I'm off to buy some, as there is still a slight tingling in the bars.

Biggest compliment. The longest I had ridden before needing to stop was 45miles!
Yesterday I managed 100 miles with no issues

Apart from the steering lock randomly doesn't work any more..
