Hi folks, I'm new to the forum but not to the Triumph world. In fact, my last bike was a Street Triple 765 R, which I sold about 2y ago because quite frankly I was working too much to use it. During the last year I had it I rode less than 2k miles so I thought it was still worth few quids and I sold it.

Turns out now I have some free time again, at least during the weekend, and guess what? I want my triple back! Except now there are a lot more choices in the Tiger segment, and that's where I'm looking at right now. My main use should be daily commute but also extended road trips all across Europe so I'm basically looking at a mile muncher which is still reasonably light, agile and not too cumbersome to drive (I'm not that old yet (ooops sorry GS-ers wannabe lol)).

I'm almost sure I'll get the 660 but I'm seriously considering them all (850 Sport and 900 GT, all variants).

See you in them sections then and... never not triple!!!

Hi from another newbie to the forum, but not Triumph - had a Daytona 650 previously and loved it. Sold it to my mate after 4 years, who’s still got it and loves it much the same

I sort of agree, especially as I have two triples.... but, current flavour of the month is my 900 twin :yum
I suppose the message is, triples are good but keep your options open...... or just buy both if money and storage allows :party:

Damn, I miss the Daytona. Meaning, I miss owning one:laughing: Never even tried it once :sob: In my self-defence, I might add that with such a prohibitive price tag I never wanted to know how great it is.

Really? I haven't tried em all but I don't think I could go back to a v-twin anymore. I still have a bit of an hitch for these new 4 in line as in the BMW S 1000 RR but boy, if I had a penny for all the bikes I wanted and never tried, then I could afford it

Welcome Proper. Yes i have the 660 Trident and love it. I find it easy to handle and plenty fast And above all its comfy. But that's just me and my old bones feel the bumps these days. Also you are right the triple has a sound all of its own and does bring a smile even with the original exhaust.
