Bonnerville 2002 and decided to strip the carbs and refurb the jets etc .
Question is how straightforward is it? I have the Haynes manual but bit nervous about stripping it.
Did the carbs on my RD several years ago and my F9rd Sierra so have limited experience of this job but any advice gratefully received.

I can't see any reason why it will be more difficult than any other carb refurb. Compared to something like Weber DCOE's, bike carbs are pretty simple things. Just take plenty of pics with your phone during disassembly so there's no problem identifying which bit goes where. The thing I like about carbs is you can see how they work and fault find/repair them unlike the electronic black magic in EFI ECU's.

I use baking trays when I strip carbs. The raised edges stop vital bits rolling off and disappearing or picking up dirt.

All went well. New main jet sorted the misfiring.
Think that I am going strip it all down in the late autumn and renew all jets etc in readiness for 2024 using genuine triumph parts as these after market ones although cheaper ain't really that great. The aftermarket rubber seal I bought split pretty quickly. The main I fitted is a genuine one in case anyone was wondering
    Mot booked for Saturday pm.
