Bonneville 2002. Really had issues with the right pot misfiring and not being able to pull away.
Okish on tickover but even on that it keeps popping and coughing then try and rev it it bogs down.
Spraying some cleaner through the air intake helps, I mean it wasn't running at all r/h for a while, but still pretty rubbish.
    Change all the jets time?
I tried uploading a video here but of course it's too large.

You don't say if you've eliminated the electrical side of things but if you haven't, start there.

New plugs and maybe plug leads.
Check the connections on the low tension side.
Check for air leaks between the carb(s) and the head.
Remove and strip/thoroughly clean the carb(s) and check float levels etc.
If all that checks out OK I'd look at valve clearances and maybe do a compression check.

It seems to be carb, it has new plugs btw, I have an overhaul kit maybe it's time to fit it and see.
    Thanks for replying

Check that the rubbers on the intake to the carbs haven't perished or are mis-aligned, allowing extra air in..
Hope it's a simple sort, Bit like myself before anyone else points it out.

Think It's time to strip the carbs and replace the jets.
Took it up the road running on one with misfiring on right and all of a sudden the right kicks in and bike takes off.
    Seems to suggest blocked jets().

What colour were the old plugs? That'd give you an idea what the problem is.

I'd try one of these to see if the spark was not intermittent when it was playing up. That would then confirm it's not electrical

It turns out that it was the main jet. Renewed with genuine part although it is very slightly misfiring on low revs. Nothing to get too concerned about but come later this year I will renew all the internal jets etc to hopefully get her running sweet.
