I have had this T100 for a while now and it's a dog, as Su's 5T is done i would like to ride it this year and do the restoration over time, thoroughly checking it over at the moment and doing any work req so as i can ride it for now. Engine wise its looks like its rideable so have converted timing bush to a seal as in unit construction bikes and fitted a Morgo oil pump, greased bearings and plated a few parts, cleaned out fuel tank and carb, fitted new rear tyre and front later this week and fitted some new bars so far.
Hurray! Another "Darkman Build". Looking forward to watching you work your motorcycle magic, @darkman.
First ride out on the T100 today and most of the oil leaks are cured, will have to do the rocker shaft oil seals and the pushrod tube seals as they have weeped a little then all good to ride for the rest of the year
Beautiful bike! I recently got a 2014 Bonnie and was told that she needs to be cleaned every 3 to 500 miles. Do you have any suggestions how I can get it up on a stand? What kind of stand is out there that would work? I was going to put a Center stand on it but I can’t find one that fits. Do you have any suggestions!?
If you can't fit a centre stand then you have two options. A paddock stand (requires bobbins of your bike but will allow you to lift the rear wheel off the ground), or a wheel roller that will allow you to turn the wheel without lifting it... something like this.
Thought i had most of the leaks sorted but after a few rides it's obvious the pushrod tubes are leaking, strip top end and clean it all up ready to set the squish on the new seals.
