    Hello!

I recently adjusted my valve clearance by replacing shims. I removed the camshaft with all timing marks lined up for easier access.

Now when im installing the camshaft with the marks lining up with each camshaft the lobe on the intake camshaft presses down on a valve, which makes it hard to install it cause when i tighten it down with the overlays the shaft turns.

Anyone got a clue how to install the camshafts that have this problem?

Sometimes you can hold the cam still with a spanner. Look for flats on the camshaft.

Dot the chain and sprocket with tippex or nail varnish depending on your personal availability......
Install with best intentions and note the error. Reference your previous paint marks and create appropriate corrections i.e. one tooth forward etc.
Fix the chain to the sprockets with cable ties in the new corrected positions and torque down ;)

All should be good as this is how I've done many makes and models but don't forget to cut the cable ties off once completed :confounded:
