Tiger Gt Pro Unenen At Low Revs

Had my 900 pro for a few months now, done about 1000 miles on it, took it out for a run yesterday and put it in sport mode and found between 2,5 to 3,5k revs the engine hunted badly making the ride very jerky, Doesn't seem to bad in road mode. Any solutions?
I did have the battery disconnected to install an accessory but reset the time and date to clear the warning light

someone on another forum suggested a software update, I'm going to try my luck at a local dealer this afternoon
