Well, it's been here for a couple of days, but I had some farkles I needed to fit and I've also not been feeling great. Anyway, I managed to pop out for a while today to take some photos; apologies that I didn't want to go too far (health again) and so couldn't get to any of the more photogenic locations. The sun was also far to harsh for decent photos.

I'm still waiting for a Motone Union Jack reservoir cover. Sadly, too, the Legend Gear panniers have to go back as the rails don't clear the canister on the Fox shocks. Annoying, but the Kriega 28-Duo is a pretty decent second option, and I'll order those as soon as I've sorted out the refund with SW-Motech UK. (Ooops - operator error... they fit perfectly.)

As for the bike itself, it's an absolute revelation. Plenty of power, and in handling terms it feels like a 125 compared to the Harley. I LOVE it, and already feel like I've owned it for years. I couldn't have made a better decision.

Beautiful bike sir. Some of those farkles are on my list too. I love seeing how people make the bikes theirs, we are all different as far as our taste. I'm loving my bike too, it does feel so much lighter than it really is.

Oh yes! That’s lovely:cool:. Really glad you’re enjoying it and that you feel so comfortable with it, and (health permitting) the weather’s on your side as well.

    Enjoy the ride:).

    Thanks very much.

Anyway, with regard to the panniers the problem was with me, not the rails! Now fitted...

Well, unfortunately I’ve had problems. I set off on a ride yesterday, and found that every time I opened up the throttle in third gear I had an almost complete loss of power. It had previously been running like an absolute dream, so it was both a surprise and a dissapointment.

The dealership is collecting the bike on Tuesday and I’m fairly sure it will be a simple ECU or sensor-related fix, but it’s quite annoying as I was going to attempt a slightly longer ride today given that I feel slightly better.

I’ll update once I know what the issue is/was! Oh, and I have some more farkles on the way that I'll be fitting as soon as I have the bike back in my possession. One of them is reasonably radical, too.

Bad luck mate. That happen to me on my first ride on my thunderbird lt a few years back. Had the bike delivered and up early the next day. Rode about a mile from home and the engine warning light came on. Called recovery and spent the whole day waiting for recovery back to the dealers for what was a 30 minute fix. Turned out to be an exhaust sensor. So my planned whole day ride turned into a short run home from the dealers. I did make up for it the following day :)

Annoying. These things shouldn't happen on a new bike, though.

I did get one quick shot during my aborted ride on Saturday, albeit there are some more farkles to come. Oh, and having bags on the bike is transformational - I've used them repeatedly since I mounted them and the 20 litre capacity the two of them give me is perfect for everyday use.

Well, I've literally just had a call from Triumph, who collected the bike earlier this afternoon. It was just a kinked fuel line.

Apparently they don't carry a stock but a replacement has been ordered and I should have the bike back on Thursday. Probably the simplest and least worrying thing it could have been.

Quick question - does anyone know the size (width and length) of the two bolts on the front of the radiator used for retaining a guard?

Edit: No worries, I've found the answer.
