The amount of abandoned homes that have run into complete ruin is almost criminal, struggling couples in these rural communities can't afford to buy so it should make more sense to have them lived in before they get to this point, the house is on the road from Hawes to Ribblehead.

I had a lovely commute today on my Street Triple, late shift so warmer on the way there and much quieter roads on the way back. I am lucky that the majority of the various route options I have to get to work is on roads that are enjoyable riding roads and my first impression of my new tyres is excellent :).

The "engine light" came on less than a mile into a ride on the Street Scrambler yesterday. Other than the idle speed being slightly higher than usual I could feel no difference in engine performance. Back in the garage I plugged in the Dealertool and it threw up error code P011B but no explanation of what it meant. I found a list of codes on the net but that one isn't on it. Superb. After deleting the code to put out the warning light I ran all the checks available with the software which were all good and it was fine on a subsequent 50+ mile ride so WTF!

I've used Motul Off Road chain lube on the dirt bike for years and found it to have not only very good lubrication and anti-fling properties but also doesn't seem to attract dirt and debris like some high tack lubes do.

Without Dealertool that would have been a visit to the local dealer. Book it in (can't possibly do it today sir), then get your wallet out. I'm guessing dealers use some bespoke Triumph software and they would have recognised the code but I'm happy with Dealertool and it's functionality.

Couldn't find reference to that code in my Triumph Service Manual but a generic search for P011B came up with: ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE / INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE CORRELATION

On the list I found, P0110 and P0112 are air intake temp sensor faults and P0115/P0117 are coolant temp sensor faults. If the fault reoccurs I'll look into it further.

Worked from home today with a bit of leave taken for an early finish. Checked the Street Triple over and cleaned and lubed the chain ready for Helmut and I to go to Devon in the morning :).
