The World Championship Gurrning Championships take place during the Egremont Crab Fair every September. Crab Fair is something to do with crab apples, which taste blood sour but apparently make quite nice jam and sauce or so I'm told.
Lived near Egremont for some 40 years, never understood it, never attended, never will.

As for 'poofball', totally agree, can't stand the waste of time that the Biased Broadcasting Corp wastes so much time, effort and TV Licence tax payers money on, rugby (union) is a far better game, especially during the 6 Nations.

Hi Tez, I may be fugly but ain't that bad and wouldn't stand a chance against some of the inbred's round here, they're not quite as bad as the fen monsters from Norfolk, but they come a close second

 

I know EXACTLY what you mean, spent some years in deepest darkest Norfolk while in the RAF and then again in the RAuxAF. Talk about duelling banjo's or what! Plug fugly with webbed feet and fingers, ~YUK~
