    Evening guys!

Im looking at maybe having a stand in the main hall up the Staffordshire show ground this year to display my work and what I can maybe offer you guys, I specialise in aluminium welding and repairs and have worked on classic bike repairs for a few years, repairing fins and cases etc, is this something that is worth looking into or do they have plenty of other people doing this kinda work.

A good few years ago, my mate and I somehow managed, between us, to take the corner off one of the cylinder head cooling fins on my Benelli 900 Sei. It took ages to find someone locally who could repair it.
Now, I've never had the pleasure of attending Stafford show, but, subject to costs, I would say that getting an affordable stand there with a good cross section of your work on display would be an excellent idea. Plenty of business cards, or similar, would also be a good thing. A photo display board of your work would probably help too.:)
For the sake of a few hours of your life and a few of your £s, I would think it should be well worth the effort. Let's hope so!
People are always looking for the skills of others to get them out of the hole they have just dug themselves in to.
    Good luck, whatever you decide!:)

    Hi,
    I agree to a point
BUT the present & future is searching on line, Its most peoples first point of reference. I find it so much easier to source Products and Services by Googling.
Shows are fine for selling things but would be a VERY long way down my list of priorities if I was looking to Market and Sell a Service.
    Just saying...

Yeah that's a good point BruLan, the idea of show was that i was hoping most of the big clubs, dealers and enthusiasts would have been attending that weekend and to have them see your work first hand and to be able to talk to them about your work I thought would have been priceless, im also havingy website built at the moment so that should be helpful, thanks again for your input

Once you have your website up and running it might be an idea to send an email with a link to your site to as many bike clubs as you can and hopefully they will put your link on their website, good luck :)

    Hi,
I have been a regular attendee to the October classic bike show at the Stafford ground. Massive variety of trades up there, so I don't think you would stick out as a minor entry
There are some damn clever people there offering all kinds of stuff & I think you shouldn't write off going there, it's a very busy place and although it's jap classic s, there are bikes from both earlier & later appearing there
    Good luck with your company.
