welcome Jack, Such a question i cannot answer for you, but ask yourself how excited are you to have the bike safe in your ownership ?, how far are you from the dealer ? you seem to be an experienced rider that can ride carefully when you need to. so why not pick it up ride careful as i'm sure you would do with a new bike and deliver it to your address, wait until you have a dry day to push your boundaries a little further, you know you want too !!!!
But ultimately its up to yourself

I would wait for the dry day, not necessarily for the slippery tyres but all the crud you'll get on your nice new baby, that's if it's only a 1 day delay! If it's a few days bring her home and get up close and dirty while you clean her up.

If you get it onto the shoulders in the wet you should be in MotoGP!!!
Seriously tho, either wait for a dry day or ask them to deliver it. The tyres, although not meant to clear masses of water, will offer the kind of grip you need to get home safely.

    Go for it.
I chose a dry day to pick up my Tiger - blue sky and bright sun all morning and all the time the paperwork was being sorted - wheeled the bugger outside and it pissed down! Good luck!

Picked it up today...did 200 miles on it! This running-in stuff is very frustrating and I just want to get it over with.

Bike is great. It's my first Triumph and I think the engine has loads of character - it's certainly feels different to the inline fours I am used to.

I've got all the extras - low-boy exhaust, quickshifter, accessory flyscreen, radiator guard, crash bungs etc. The exhaust sounds fantastic, especially when throttling off. I think I'll have to go for the Evotech tail tidy as the standard rear looks terrible.

I'll try and put some pics up tomorrow.

You'll soon have it run in - just don't forget to book that first service before you run out of miles!

    Yep...

I got them to fit the mirrors from the previous model. Much, much better than the bar end mirrors...

Hahaha if you want to to look at your elbows. We'll have to agree to disagree on that. You got a different seat as well ?

Yes, it looks good and actually seems to make a bit of a difference at high speeds.

    Yep... shes a looker.

Love the fit of the fly screen around the top of the headlights... although i do prefer the shape of the pentagonal lights.

You are, i think, unusual in your preference for the traditional type mirrors. Each to their own tho, eh?

Lovely bike tho...you must be made up!
