Hi I'm lee and I'm waiting on delivery for a thruxton-r so no doubt I will be asking loads of questions as I'm a first time triumph owner
Is someone re posting just to pee me off?!? Sorry Lee! I lust after one and it is well known on the forum. Welcome in and I hope your wait isn't too long
Hi Lee and welcome to the forum. Hope you get your new bike soon, I'm hoping to get a test ride on the Thruxton R once I get a chance, keep us up to date on how you get on with it.
Will do mate..I've always had sports bikes and sold my gixer 750 k5 after I test ride this it was that good
Welcome Lee. Don't be shy with the questions... Loads of helpy types on here. Lovely bike the thruccy r. Seen it in all its guises, and it's a real beaut. Atb Bob
I wish they did...long story really but will give you the quick version I've always had sports bikes GSXR's and a rgv 250 about 5urs ago my dad showed me the 900 thruxton and I fell in love with the looks but at 30yrs old thought I was to young for one then 3yrs ago a guy started coming riding in our group and he let me try his and I fell in love with the ride but thought I was too young still so said when I was 40 I would get one, then last year I heard about the R1200 and thought mmm can't wait to see that,,about 8-9 weeks ago our local dealer got one in and I liked and booked a test ride, half a mile up the road I knew it was for me,clocked up about 40miles by the time I got back there put the deposit down sold my gixer and now I'm just waiting..I'm 5yrs younger than I thought I'd be to get it but it's a great bike and I swear up to a ton it would of kept up with the gixer
Too young? Too young? What are you trying to say about us Thruxton owners? Well ok you're probably right, but we're young at heart! Get worried when you fancy a bonneville!! Uh! Oh!
I do like like them too..I just hope it's not a dream bike nightmare..I'm sure there is younger than me that's ordered one as it's not far off a sports bike really
