Yesterday I got the Thruxton out of its vacsac. Checked the tyre pressures and gave it a wipe over. Bike started on the first press of the starter. The weather was really sunny and warm at 15c so decided to get my gear on and go for a ride. I was a bit apprehensive about my knee and foot problems, but I actually found it much easier than the tiger, so really enjoyed a short ride. I’m in for my cortisone jab in my foot on Monday, so hoping that once that is done I will be able to cope even better. If all goes well on the 4th April when I see the knee consultant I will be looking at planning for short UK tour for the summer. Happy biker in Cheshire :)

Finished making the end cans for the Thruxton R.
Very happy with how they look and sound…..although neighbours, MOT tester and the police may not agree with the latter part of that!
Will probably have to get some db killers, but they’ll get modified so it’s only quietening it a bit and adding a bit of back pressure as opposed to strangling it.
A later job is to get the full system ceramic coated matt black C99C97CF-DA3A-4BF2-A71F-3D2614EC784F.jpeg

Interesting trailer, is it a kit to go into pieces easily, what make is it?
Looks like the tyres need inflating.

Yes, it's a motolug trailer, I have the version that can be either single or twin trailer as I normally use it as a single for trackdays etc but sometimes, for holidays, we take the other half's Bonnie as well.

Today I took my wife on our first ride with our two Bonnie's. It was a pleasure as always. Beautiful weather, pleasant temperature and only a little wind. Real Bonnie weather.
Then tomorrow the Christmas present will be mounted on my wife's Bonnie.

Actually got out for a ride today. Up through the Northern and then Westmorland Dales. It was a tad chilly at Shap though. Bumped into three lovely lads from Blackburn two of them on Triumph bikes at Devils Bridge. Bacon butty and a mug of tea. Fantastic to be back out riding. New Anakee Adventure tyres scrubbed in. Bring on spring.

Now the content of the box with special greetings to Mrs Visor.;)
It is a grabrail for the Bonnie of my wife .

In my father-in-law's garage/workshop we mounted my wife's "Christmas present" on her Bonnie. The assembly takes about 20 minutes, because you have to disassemble only a few parts and connect them to the new items. I think the result is great. The Bonnie looks even a bit more beautiful with it. Now only the main stand is missing, then the Bonnie is fully equipped.

After the assembly of the Bonnie we rode a small tour and made some position changes in our garage afterwards.

Lovely day here so Helmut and I went to Baffle Haus - him on his Nightstorm and me on my Street Triple; first decent trip out together on the bikes we have had this year. It was pretty busy with loads of bikes and cars coming and going and always has a nice atmosphere. Lots of fun and it has left me feeling very optimistic that we’re seeing the back of what seems like it has been a long winter after the false start of gorgeous weather a few weeks ago - Spring Equinox tomorrow too.

It is always very welcoming - you'll find every sort of bike and rider there and some interesting cars too and although it looks "hipster" you always meet and chat to some good people. The coffee is also great which helps no end! It can get packed at the weekends, but they have someone there sorting the parking situation as best they can as well which is also useful.

I did the dumbest thing I've ever done, I picked up the wrong fuel nozzle and filled up with diesel, to cut a long story short, tank off and emptied, refilled and after a few rough starts she's running ok, and after first trying to syphon a mixture of petrol and diesel by sucking on a hose, I wouldn't ever do that again. 20190622_140236.jpg

At least you're sorted now (and not poisoned from your syphoning efforts!!).

Syphoning a petrol/diesel combination by mouth is not the best thing to do with your Sunday but as they say, everyday is a school day, your not the first or last.

Glad you got it sorted and hopefully no long term issues as what can happen the other way around ;)

Get yourself a length of tube and a bulb pump for next time....... :yum

Here you go @David Cooper get yourself one of these. I have a couple similar and use for various tasks but they seem quite ok with E10.
