Has anyone tried the Tamarit Alpine Seat on their Scrambler?

Looks great, but is it comfortable? I find more than an hour on the standard plank is causing me to squirm, after 3-4 hours I'm in pain! Need to find a more comfortable seat! Preferably comfortable and cool.

I bought mine on their website, arrived promptly but had to pay import duty, about £50 from memory. Certainly looks good, haven't really tried it yet so can't say how comfortable it is.

Looks really good, I think the slight extension up unto the tank looks right on such a capable off road machine.

AirHawk anyone? That's what I'll be trying if I can't get on with the standard seat.

    I've had one for years.
Very good as long as the only a little air in it.

I've never tried an inflatable or gel cushion, though I've seen a few people use them. Do they add much to the seat height?

The airhawk I have puts on about 1/4 to 1/2" in height, but thats not overall as with the amount of air in it, it moves about as you move. Hard to explain, you have to try one.

Does it sit higher and narrower than the oem one? The top edges on oem seat hurts my legs after 1 hour riding especially when I try to grip up the tank with my legs. Does it do any better?

To resurect a thread. I put a Windrider mesh seat cover on mine recently and used it on a tour from the UK to the SE (Alpes Maritime) region of France. We did long days in the saddle some days and I never got numb bum.
