Due to my very good experience in 2022 with the textile jacket MODEKA VIPER LT I ordered it another time. Since it is somewhat small-cut, this time one size larger. Today I wore it in combination with warm underwear at -5 degrees Celsius on 60 km ride and it was sufficiently warm.
Keis heated vest and gloves. Very impressed on first real life test today. I feel the cold (I'm a delicate flower!) but these are fantastic so far. They have extended my riding season by quite a bit I think. Not cheap of course but I think they're well worth it. Anyone else have an opinion on them or similar gear, good or bad?
I have a cheap Chinese heated vest I got from Amazon for about £16 in 2021 just to trial heated kit - I am actually very impressed with it, although do worry I might burst into flames one day .
I have a heated vest, @TripleGrey, and I love it! It definitely makes a big difference in my comfort level when riding while it's cold. Yes, well worth it! I'm glad you're enjoying your new heated gear.
I just ordered Oberon adjustable clutch and brake levers for my Street Glide Special. Nothing like a little carpal tunnel surgery to make you realize how much your clutch hand has to work to ride a motorcycle! I'm putting different bars on this bike so figured I'd do the levers at the same time. Lots of color combos available. I went with something "wild"--black levers and black adjustment knobs.
Well, certainly not THAT! I've ordered some fairly conservative bars from a company called Khrome Werks. They're not the currently trendy T-bars nor are they ape hangers or beach bars. They'll be narrower than my current bars by several inches and put me 2 inches up from stock with 2 inches more pullback than stock. The ones I ordered only come in chrome so I'm having them powder coated black as there's not one chrome thing on my touring Harley.
Not as silly as we may think ... enjoy riding yer bike about, while getting free physio on back and shoulders.
$435.14 in back Rego so the Speed Triple didn't get deregistered, TODAY !! My how time flies .. haha. Still ... I had it worked out at around $520, so came out well ahead ..... I think ? (bustards)
Today I ordered some R&G bobbins to enable me to get the Blade onto our paddock stand for chain cleaning etc. Not THE most exciting purchase, but anything bike - related is still a win I reckon......
I have made a bargain. I bought an almost original "Adler 3-speed" from 1934 from a colleague for €250.-. In the following some pictures of it. I am really happy!!!
